returning [in order of likelihood]
1. AARON PAUL in BREAKING BAD

breaking in [in order of likelihood]
3. SAM WATERSTON in the NEWSROOM
4. MANDY PATINKIN in HOMELAND
both big legends [ok, maybe not that big] in the industry, the former in the AARON SORKIN’s new[s] show, the latter must have just missed last year for the eventual winner.
5. JONATHAN BANKS in BREAKING BAD
this show keeps gaining momentum and his performance has been praised for his emotional subtle depth.
6. COREY STOLL in HOUSE OF CARDS
being the co-star to KEVIN SPACEY in a show by DAVID FINCHER might not hurt but it might when the show is in NETFLIX and no one knows if the academy is watching.
C O U L D - B E nominated [but probably will not]
NIKOLAJ COSTER-WALDAU in GAME OF THRONES
another breakout star in another show still gaining momentum [and fans].
C O U L D - B E nominated [and it might not be a shock]
NOAH EMMERICH in the AMERICANS
if this show had premiered five years ago it might be sweeping the nominations but since the competition is very strong even good performances like this might be passed over.
S H O U L D - B E nominated [but unfortunately it is a very long shot]
MADS MIKKELSEN in HANNIBAL
filling the shoes of ANTHONY HOPKINS was a futile task but delivering a great performance that make you completely forget about that iconic one was truly something.
