out of the six episodes nominated this stands out in pop culture more than the others but CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM is not that hot anymore.

he is a legend, an EMMY favorite and an actor that never seems to stop working; his performance in this show was an epic pop culture moment.

just like his wife [AMY POEHLER] he always seems to be the bridesmaid and never the bride, he is great playing the character and it might be his time to win.

this show is more a drama than a comedy, so his performance is not funny in a sitcom kind of way but still is second best to EDIE FALCO.

after the upset he pulled last year his biggest competition this year cannot take the EMMY so easily away.

the writing really felt down this season but PARSONS never dropped the ball and still deliver gag after joke after memorable moment.

he is actor, director, writer of this show and he never falls short during the season, the episode submitted is specially good and also one-hour long which never hurts.

it is a two-way race between these two icons, both represent completely opposite sides of the comedy spectrum.

the first is noted for his smart and subtle sense of humor, the latter is a comedy genius that makes fifty million viewers tune every week.

after a not-so-strong season this show still has the edge over the other five shows with weaker seasons that made less waves.

C O U L D / S H O U L D win [based on the entire season and the episodes submitted]

GIRLS & VEEP

both these shows might be too small for most EMMY voters to even notice them but they both deliver terrific seasons.

it is no surprise both are HBO series that also have the huge advantage of telling full season arcs in ten and eight episodes respectively.

both lead by outstanding performances i think the political satire has the edge over the coming of age dramedy; MODERN FAMILY should watch out.

they play in a whole different level, both have won twice before and are locks for as long as their shows air.

the critics darling is a stronger candidate after a second year, he might be the dark horse in the race.

4. LARRY DAVID in CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM

he is always nominated except when he is not, he is [was and will be] the wild card in the category filling that empty spot.

5. JOHNNY GALECKI in the BIG BANG THEORY

this show went from being completely underrated [in this race] to a huge success, the actor was [not] surprisingly nominated last year and there is no reason to believe he will not come back.

6. JON CRYER in TWO AND A HALF MEN

with CHARLIE SHEEN gone the six time nominee will venture into new grounds, he has been nominated even when the EMMYs have forgotten the show.

DON CHEADLE in HOUSE OF LIES

that show is crazy but CHEADLE never fails to do an amazing job; however we have to wonder if someone is watching.

co-lead to everyone’s favorite comedy actress [AMY POEHLER] he is the least obviously funny character but still responsible for tying most of the jokes.

ELIJAH WOOD in WILFRED

JASON GANN chews that show’s scenery without even blinking and ELIJAH WOOD grounds this show an makes the impossible plausible.
