once again a good tale well told that we may have seen a dozen times; however the directing, specially the editing, made this good tale a great movie. - 13FB2011

an audiovisual spectacle that does dive deep into the real meaning of revenge and the true motifs behind violence; it is so well edited you will stay at the edge of your seat.

did i mention this film uses smart locations that keep you guessing while you trust also your instincts? did you notice how it is impossible to determine who is the victim and who the villain?

key scenes: the opening, the narrowing of the suspects, the greenhouse battle, the pharmacy battle, the car chase.

using truly gorgeous visuals set to the one of the greatest soundtracks the wonder-kid draws a non-traditional yet timeless honest portrait of the hardships of love in youth culture. - 05JU2011

both XAVIER DOLAN and MONIA CHOKRI balance quite well the drama with the more subtle comedy but i think it is DOLAN [as a director] the real star of this film.

did you notice how very well selected every piece of clothing and prop seems to be? did you like this hip yet not pop sense of style?

key scenes: they meet NICOLAS, every scene where they walk in slow motion, the sleeping together, the underwear sniffing, their hearts break, the new beginning.
